Internet Radio Interview

On Wednesday, January 31, 2007 I spent an hour on the Internet Talk Radio program, “A Fresh Start with Sallie Felton.” We discussed “How Lifelong Learning Activates the Body, Mind and Spirit of Older Adults.” You can still hear this discussion by going to Sallie Felton’s web site - http://www.salliefeltonlifecoach.com/, clicking on the link on her Home Page and then selecting her Archives section.

For those of you who are not familiar with Internet talk radio, it’s a way to listen to radio using your computer. Contact Talk Radio International (the web site Sallie uses for her shows) is an Internet-based media platform that presents cutting edge information geared toward overall mind, body and spirit; connecting listeners with tools that will assist them in making educated and empowered decisions for their lives and our world. You can listen to all their different programs live at www.contactradio.com.

Marketing Plans for Learning Later, Living Greater

The bulk of my marketing plans are going to focus on lining up interviews on the radio.

Thanks to the efforts of my daughter, Kathryn (I’ve said before that my book is really a family affair), in putting together a spreadsheet of radio stations and other media outlets around the country, I am going to begin contacting them (through email) about interviewing me about my book, “Learning Later, Living Greater.”

Radio interviews are really a perfect vehicle for me in that I can sit in my office up here in the hills of New Hampshire, and reach people just about anywhere.

Along with that I can use notes freely, so I can be sure to get the best message about lifelong learning for older adults across to the listeners. There are so many people turning 50 every day that it’s really important to get the word out about lifelong learning being a health club for your mind, body and spirit! What better way than through the power of the radio.

A special opportunity for readers of this blog
Want to test the waters of lifelong learning? I can’t think of a better way then by spending one day listening to award winning professors from Harvard, Yale, Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth, Columbia, The University of Pennsylvania, Cornell and other top tier schools, who come together to offer you an elite, live classroom learning experience.

Check out www.onedayuniversity.com to learn more, and see if there’s a one-day university near you. If so, when you register, thanks to your reading of this blog, you will get a 15% discount on the cost of the program. Just type in the word “LIFELONG” as your coupon code when you register at the website, or use it when calling 800-811-8821 to register. It’s that simple!
