There’s a new web site for older adults in cyberspace – www.growingbolder.com
Here’s what their web site has to say…
“The Growing Bolder worldwide headquarters in Orlando, Florida is where we spend the day brainstorming ways we can help tell your story. Because that's really what we are. We're storytellers. We're a team of good friends and Emmy Award-winning TV and radio people who got frustrated by the refusal of mainstream media to even acknowledge that the 50+ demographic is the real power in today's economy and society.
But this is not us against them. Unlike other communities, you don't have to be 50+ to hang with us. What fun is that? We're building an intergenerational community that's a reflection of the society we envision -- one of inclusion.
Unlike other sites, we're not here to convince you that the best is yet to come. You already know that. We're here to tell the stories of those who are leading by example. We believe that's all the convincing anyone will need.
We've seen what's happening in every community in America and in the world, really. Men and women are smashing all of the stereotypes of aging. That's why our site is not really about age. It's about attitude; an attitude that's as powerful at 20 as it is at 60.
One thing you will see at Growing Bolder is constant change. We'll follow the flow because that's what life is all about. We'll throw a lot of stuff against the wall and see what sticks. Above all else, we'll listen to what you want and then work very hard to make it happen. In our community, you have the power.
So plug in. Get connected. We look forward to taking this incredible trip with you.”
I am very pleased to be part of this dynamic site. Not only am I blogging regularly for them, I have also been interviewed for their companion radio show. Check out my web site at www.learninglater.com to listen to this great interview.
Till Next Time…
